Built in 1865 as a home for homeless Civil War veterans. A time so far away we can’t imagine. This elegant and comfortable domicile couldn’t begin to express gratitude for the bravery of the residence. This building still stands proud just west of the Milwaukee county stadium next to the cemetery of plain white headstones. A humble tribute.
