Description:Purple daisy-like flowers that cover this plant making it a real showstopper. You might see it in woodland areas in Wisconsin.Plant Notes:Maintenance Tips Deadheading: Cut the tops off in spring (June) to encourage branching and fuller blooming. The deer do that for me where I live but I spray with Liquid Fence and spread Malogranite around the base to keep the deer away after June. Watering: Average Water Needs; Water regularly; do not overwater, plant in well-drained soil. Water all perennials deeply about every two weeks to build long strong roots that will find their own water. Propagation Tips Propagation: Divide the rootball in Spring. Plant and water immediately Reseeds: Self-seeds freely: deadhead if you do not want volunteer seedlings. Seeds can be collected from heads and scattered in the fall, or planted indoors in Feb, Mar or so.Keep seeds dry and cool, stratify byl keeping in the refridgeator for 2-3 weeks before planting.
