Description:

Sometimes know as the Perennial Batchlor Button with blue Batchlor Button like flowers. Cut back spent blooms and more will appear. Some years 3 or 4 reblooms by cutting back. Bloom late spring, summer. Well drained soil . They will reseed moderately if not dead headed. Attracts Goldfinch

Maintenance:

Cut back old foliage and blooms to the ground, but watch not to cut new growth coming up in the center of the plant. You may do this several times in one season. The second growth is usually better behaved and stands on it's own.
